Copyright & Fair Use

Two copyright issues I was familiar with:

1. That copyright provides authors of work with protection of how their work can be used, reproduced, among other things that keep their original ideas from being copied.
2. In general, you can write to the author of the copyrighted work and ask for permission to use their work.

Two copyright issues that were new to me:

1. I had never heard of the TEACH Act before, so this was an entirely new concept to me.
2. I previously did not understand that there were public domains, in addition to copyrighted works, as silly as that sounds. I have always just given credit to the source I’ve used for projects and assignments.
